Testimonials
Don't just take our word for it. Here is what former clients say about us.
Donnie Fields - Parent of Jackson Fields - Committed to Bridgewater College
As a parent of a son with aspirations to play college baseball the recruiting process can be a bit overwhelming. Questions such as what are coaches looking for? What type of player do coaches need? Can my son play at the college level? What feedback do college coaches have for our son? Are colleges even interested in him? These are just a few questions that parents may struggle with while trying to support their son during the recruiting process. At this stage, college coaches want to hear from the player, not the parents.
We are extremely grateful for Coach Kinne! Coach provided an honest assessment of our son’s ability and what he could do to assist him in the recruiting process. With his expertise as a former college baseball coach as well as a father of a current college player, Coach Kinne was a blessing. He clearly communicated his expectations for our son and in return shared what he would do on our son’s behalf.
We are thankful that Coach was able to navigate us through the recruiting process. We believe our son has found a great college baseball program within an ideal academic arena. We are grateful to Coach for sharing his wisdom, guidance, and insight throughout this process. We cannot overemphasize the value of partnering with Coach Kinne. We highly recommended his assistance!

Jackson Fields - Committed Bridgewater College
Coaching in the ODAC for over 20 years Coach Kinne has great connections proving himself reputable and trustworthy. That’s why I chose K.G. Baseball Consulting. Although Coach Kinne is skilled with representing his athletes to coaches, he is also an insightful coach to those he represents. Countless times I have talked to Coach Kinne about my performance, good or bad, and his feedback has always been more than helpful. Thank you, Coach Kinne.
John Yarnovich - Committed to Guilford College
I have been playing baseball since I was 6 years old and always knew I wanted to play at the next level in college. I never had any college interests until I started working with Coach Kinne. Coach Kinne helped get my name out to college coaches and helped me create a personalized skills video for my pitching. Once I started working with him, I had multiple coaches reaching out and an offer I was really exited about.
Chris Hobson - Parent of Grayson Hobson - Committed to Guilford College
We were struggling to figure out the recruiting scene, should we go JUCO? D2, D3 ? Having never gone through the recruiting process before, it’s confusing, it’s complicated, and it’s expensive!! Which App should we go with? Field Level, NCSA, playinschool?
Should we stay local or expand our search outside of Virginia for a school that would be a good fit for both baseball and academics?
Maybe our son is not ready for D1 right now, but perhaps in the next few yrs with a good coach, an opportunity, and a program to build strength, speed and discipline, maybe there’s a possibility to go D1 or beyond? Who knows?
Or, do we want a place for him to play competitive baseball in college for 4 yrs and get a quality education at a good school in a location that fits our son and allows him to succeed at multiple levels?
No matter how it turns out (depends on the kid mostly), if you don’t get the info you need and can’t connect with schools and coaches, how do you find the path forward?
We had contacted coaches and paid thousands of dollars for recruiting apps with little return!! It was very frustrating!
The transfer portal and recent changes in D1 scholarships have altered everything in college athletics!!
Well? How do we go forward? That’s when we found Jeff Kinne, he’s the former head coach at Hampden Sydney College for 21 years! Coach Kinne has so many contacts with regional schools and coaches, extensive experience as a head coach, and he’s been recruiting at the D3 level for decades, something that few others can offer!
Coach Kinne was able to guide us and make contact with coaches so that we could find a good fit for our son academically, socially, and to play baseball!
Which camp do we attend? How do we find a good fit? Coach Kinne was able to answer these questions and more to help us navigate the recruiting process!
In the end our son committed to Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, a member of the ODAC conference, a great school and a nice city to begin his college experience.
As the only school in the ODAC that’s not in Virginia, we will be able to attend away games in conference and Guilford is only a 3 hr drive from our home!
It was just a good experience and a successful outcome! If anyone is looking for a good resource to navigate recruiting and find a place for their son, I’d recommend working with Jeff Kinne!
Ben Bradford - Parent of Braden Bradford - Committed to Guilford College
As a former collegiate baseball athlete and current coach, understanding today’s recruiting process has been a challenge. Trying to find out what’s beneficial versus money making schemes is very difficult. Coach Kinne sat down with our family and really took the time to hear Braden's academic and life goals and, through his experience, helped match us with the correct schools. He communicated with those schools and helped Braden understand the process. Coach Kinne has been invaluable to our family and we are truly grateful to him for helping Braden realize his dream of playing college baseball.
